More points are the gums are not severe and are natural pigment of the skin, small wounds, hardened plaque, and pieces of silver fillings below the gum or vein; but in rare cases it can mean oral malignant melanoma, a form of oral cancer. Calculation
Calculation, also known as tartar, occurs when plaque hardens and, according to they cannot be eliminated by simply brushing or flossing. Oral malignant melanoma
Malignant melanoma is the deadliest form of skin cancer, but rarely found in the mouth. According to the US National Library of Medicine, oral malignant melanoma represents between 0.2 percent and 8 percent of all melanomas. If you smoke, drink heavily or chewing snuff your chances of developing oral melanoma is increasing. It starts as a small black dot, usually less than 1 mm in diameter, which is actually a tumor that grows with irregular edges. Malignant melanomas are often fatal because they often are not discovered until they have reached an advanced stage, at which the survival rate is, on average, two years.
Prevention/Solution
Brushing and flossing regularly will improve your oral hygiene. Avoid chewing snuff, smoking and excessive drinking. Go for regular dental checkups. So, your dentist can detect early signs of the disease. If she notices something like oral malignant melanoma before it grows, it could save your life. If you notice any black spots on the gums, get examined by a dentist immediately.
