Diet and Oral Health

Science and technology advance. The investigations are increasingly demanding as researchers’ day. Every day new discoveries are made. As far as dentistry is concerned, there are advances in dental techniques and improved materials.


It is rather what people can do about their dental health. To make effective brushing technique, they are avoiding a significant amount of oral disease and what people fear most: The Loosening of Teeth and their subsequent Fall or Eviction.

Today the trend is to educate people so they know more from dentistry and medicine people of yesteryear.

I’m not referring to explain proper brushing; it is something that authors speak frequently and is easy to get that information.

If you have a poor diet, it will affect not only your overall health, but your body will cost more work fight infections including canker which will result in premature loss of teeth and a greater propensity to decay dental.

If many authors write their articles referring to good nutrition whose effect is to achieve overall good health, I will be more specific and talk about food that guarantee good oral health:

Fruits and vegetables.

At least four servings. (A cup). Cereals. (Two Parts). Oats, corn, wheat, cookies, etc.. Unprocessed products. Meat, fish and seafood, poultry. Other protein sources: Nuts, grains, nuts, etc..

Although it is impossible to eliminate sugar from your diet, you can control your intake. There foods naturally contain sugars such as fructose in fruit and lactose in milk.

There are also foods which process results in very dense rich in sugars, as in the case of sweets, chocolates and goodies. In these cases the important thing after swallowing, is a proper brushing technique dental and proper use of floss to remove food debris between teeth.

What foods are named like “Detergents” in any case represent a replacement brush and floss? Let’s worry about our health.

I do not mean to replace it and get used to eating the foods I named above, I just want the healthiest foods that will definitely help you have a known health oral enviable.

Many years ago there was talk that brushing and hygiene produced very good effects to prevent oral diseases.

If we follow these rules and visit our dentist once every six months, we will increase considerably the possibility of having a beautiful and healthy smile.
